Calendar Release Party

Join us this Thursday, December 8th, at Bubbly Paws on Grand and Excelsior in St. Louis Park from 6pm to 9 pm.  The Pet Project has a calendar this year!  Becky from Lucky Mutt Photography took some gorgeous photos and April Mueller designed the layout to make it all come together beautifully.

We’re excited that the good folks at Bubby Paws are hosting a huge party where you can pick up a calendar, give your pooch a bath (proceeds go to The Pet Project) or sign up for our raffle.  The Prizes are AMAZING and include a weekend getaway.

Nov. 6th Vaccination Clinic

If you’re having trouble keeping your pet up to date on it’s vaccinations, please join us for our discounted vaccination clinic.  We are suggesting a $20 donation per pet.

The following vaccines will be offered:  Rabies, Distemper combo

All of our veterinarians and vet techs are volunteering their time for this event.  All recipients of their care will be asked to sign a waiver prior to vaccinations.

We recommend showing up at least 15 minutes prior to closing to ensure that you get a spot in line.

Woof-n-Treat

Join us for the 4th annual Woof ‘n Treat dog Halloween party on Saturday, October 29th at Excelsior and Grand from 1pm-3pm with the dog costume contest starting at 2pm. There will be local pet business providing the fun and games for our 4 legged friends! In addition to the fun and games, there will be hay rides, trick or treating, face painting and a photo booth at Excelsior and Grand.

Amy James from K102 will be hosting the costume contest starting at 2pm. There is a $10 donation to The Pet Project to enter the costume contest.

Categories for the costume contest include:

- Best Dog Costume

- Best group costume (2 or 4 legged group – must include a minimum of 1 dog)

- Most creative

Bark at Art Poster Show

Gallery 122 and The Barkery are teaming up to host a benefit for The Pet Project. “Bark at Art” will feature limited edition, signed and numbered prints by local and national artists that are inspired by our furry, four-legged companions. “BARK at ART” will run from August 19 through September 10, 2011, with a pet friendly** opening reception held on August 19, from 7-10 PM. (**Owners are responsible for pets. All pets must be on a leash and current on all vaccinations). The exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public. Guests are asked to help The Pet Project by bringing unopened bags of pet food, new/gently used supplies, or a suggested donation of $5.

100% of door donations, and 80% of poster sales will benefit the Pet Project.

Gallery 122 is an art gallery that features different local artists throughout the year. Gallery 122 is located in NE Minneapolis in between Central and E. Hennepin at 122 8th St SE. The gallery hours are Monday and Friday 9-5, Tuesday through Thursday 9-7, Saturday 10-4, and closed on Sundays.

Join us for a special yoga class to raise food and funds for the Pet Project. The Pet Project is a Twin Cities non-profit organization that was founded in 2009 to aid families in need by providing pet food, veterinary services and shelter. Since then, the organization has helped thousands of families care for their pets during economic difficulty, life changes and most recently- in times of natural disaster- helping the victims of the North Minneapolis tornado.
These animals now have food, veterinary care and homes- all of which they may have lost without the hard work of the Pet Project.
Come take part in a class to help this wonderful and devoted group raise food, funds and awareness for animals in need.

Paws On Grand!

On Sunday, August 7th, The Pet Project is partnering with the Grand Ave Business Association again this year to bring you Paws On Grand!  At each of our booths, located on Grand Ave at Whole Foods, Kowalski’s and Grand and Victoria, we will be selling “Pawsports” to the first 150 people.  These Pawsports can be filled by stopping at 8 locations along the route and getting a stamp.  Completing your Pawsport will get you entered into a drawing for an ALL INCLUSIVE WEEKEND AT GUNFLINT LODGE! ($1,000 value)

Totally Kids Four Legged Food Drive

Totally Kids in Bloomington is having a month long food drive for The Pet Project!  It’s a convenient location, just one mile from the Mall of America.  We know you’re headed that way this summer for some fun in the air conditioning anyway, so if you can, please drop off a bag of food.  Here are the details:
